Our charges
Our work mainly involves helping clients to secure NHS Continuing Healthcare funding, drafting appeals against ineligibility decisions and seeking refunds of wrongly paid care fees. Our work is carried out on a privately paying basis or ‘no win no fee.’
We ensure that clients are aware of all costs up front. An initial consultation is always carried out at no cost to you to establish what sort of help you need and after that, all work undertaken on your behalf or advice given is chargeable. You will always be informed at the point that charges will be made.
In some circumstances we can offer one-off ‘fixed fees’ after a full consultation on a case by case basis.
For refunds of wrongly paid care fees we can consider entering into a ‘no win no fee’ agreement and this will also depend on your circumstances on a case by case basis after a free initial consultation.
If we do not work for you under the terms of a contingency fee agreement/’no win no fee’ agreement, we will charge you as outlined below:
Rosalind Hughes is a solicitor and sole practitioner practice who qualified in the year 2000. She has a BA(Hons) Combined Studies degree in Law and French and her hourly rate is £210. This rate is based on Solicitors and Legal Executives with over eight years post qualification experience including at least eight years of litigation experience, Partners, Associates or other fee earners of equivalent experience. Our charges will be calculated mainly by reference to the time spent me, solicitors and any other executive staff that I might ask to deal with some part of your matter. Charges are calculated on a unit basis, each unit being six minutes in length.
